GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Where are you located? How do I get there?

Our address is 837 North Cahuenga Boulevard in the heart of the Hollywood Media District. We are located two blocks north of Melrose and two blocks west of Vine.
Coming from Directions

The Westside:

Take the I-10 East and exit La Brea North
Continue on La Brea to Melrose, turn Right
Continue on Melrose to Cahuenga, then turn Left
The Valley: Take the 134 Fwy East and merge onto the 101 Fwy South
Continue into Hollywood and exit at Cahuenga
Turn Right at the bottom of the ramp
Continue on Cahuenga past Santa Monica Blvd.
Orange County: Take the I-5 North to downtown Los Angeles
Merge on to the 101 Fwy North
Exit Santa Monica Blvd., exit towards Western
Turn Left on Santa Monica Blvd., Left on Cahuenga Blvd.
The inland Empire: Take the I-10 West Towards Los Angeles
Merge on to the 101 Fwy North

2. How long have you been in business?

We have been in business since 1977 and a founding member is still the President and actively involved with the company.


RENTAL AND SALES INFORMATION

1. Am I required to hire an operator for equipment rented from Angstrom?

No. The majority of our rental equipment may be customer operated. We are happy to answer any questions you may have at the time of pickup or delivery. We also provide instruction manuals for our consoles and moving lights.

2. Can I order rental equipment and expendable supplies at the same time?

Yes. We actually prefer getting your expendable order at the same time as your rental order. That way, everything will be ready for you when you arrive.

3. Can I pay cash for a rental?

Yes, however we do require proof of ID, a valid credit card authorization and proof of insurance.

4. Do you rent outside of Hollywood?

Yes. We have sent rentals and sales all over the world. Special arrangements may be made for a reduced rate or no charge for travel time on rentals.

5. Can I return unused expendable items, such as fog fluid or color media?

Sorry, no. All expendable sales are final.

6. Do you buy used equipment?

Yes, occasionally we will buy used equipment. It will depend upon our needs at the time and the quality of the equipment. Please call for details - 866·275·9211.


REPAIR AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

1. Do you offer technical assistance if I decide to setup and operate the rental equipment myself?

Yes. We offer technical assistance from our Hollywood offices during regular business hours (Pacific Standard Time):

Mon-Thurs 8:30am - 5:30pm,
Fri 8:30am - 6:00pm,
Sat 10:00am - 2:00pm

After hours assistance is available, as well. Simply call Toll Free 866·275·9211 and listen for the emergency numbers.

2. Do you sell used lighting equipment?

Yes. We sell off most of our rental inventory on a regular basis. When we sell our used lighting equipment, it comes with a full warranty.

3. I am not a lighting person. Can you send an expert to my site and advise me?

Yes. We have staff that will assist you on making lighting decisions or in solving your lighting concerns. The typical charge for a site survey is determined by the length of time our staff member is away from the shop.

CONTRIBUTION INFORMATION

1. Do you give free rentals to worthy causes?

Yes, but we have chosen those causes which are dear to us. We will, however, on occasion consider special rates for events we feel to be worthwhile.

2. Do you ever donate equipment?

Yes, we support our public schools and small theatres whenever we can. We might receive trade-ins or have over stock on certain items - when we do, those that are in need will receive the equipment.
