Encounter Restaurant at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

Since 1961, the futuristic structure that houses the Encounter Restaurant at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) has been one of L.A.'s most famous landmarks. For several years, Angstrom maintained and programmed the architectural lighting that dramatically enhances this vision of the future, using Irideon AR500s by Varilite, powered by an ETC sensor rack and programmed with a rack-mounted ETC Idea console.

The Encounter Restaurant is currently undergoing a $9 million restoration project, as seen in these photos. Angstrom is currently assisting the electrical contractors with the careful removal of transformers, electrical panels and dimming systems so that they can remodel the various electrical rooms.
