Angstrom Lighting Invests in Expansion
Company hires lighting industry veteran Steven Schweitzer as Managing Director
Hollywood , CA – July 2, 2007 – Angstrom Lighting today announced that it has hired a new managing director as part of its 30 th Anniversary expansion strategy. Steven Schweitzer, an industry veteran with more than 24 years of experience in the lighting business, starts today.
“The business of lighting has changed dramatically in the past 30 years, and we’ve been here throughout all of it,” said Frans Klinkenberg, president & CEO of Angstrom Lighting. “Steve is an excellent addition to our team because he brings extensive industry knowledge and a talent for managing projects and people. We are confident that he will help make our expansion strategy a reality.”
Angstrom Lighting is celebrating its 30 th anniversary this year with strategic initiatives designed to expand the company’s market share. In addition to hiring Schweitzer, Angstrom is investing in new equipment to help streamline rentals, sales and distribution efforts and expanding its repair department to handle higher levels of project work.
Schweitzer is a returning Angstrom Lighting employee: he excelled as operations manager for the company from 1990 to 1994. After a period spent exploring other opportunities in the lighting business, he is returning to Angstrom based on the company’s well-known integrity and dedication to its employees.
“Coming back to Angstrom feels really good, and I’m excited to be a part of the company’s strategic expansion plans,” said Schweitzer.
As managing director, Schweitzer will be responsible for managing the external and internal sales force and increasing sales company-wide. He will also participate in facilities management and general operations for the company.
