Over the last month, Angstrom Lighting had begun to open our E-commerce store for our clients. Starting with our own Custom Gobo section. Patrons are able to select size, color options and even submit their artwork with their order.  This makes this a fast and easy process to expedite the receiving of the custom glass or steel gobo.

Angstrom Lighting offers a wide variety of manufacturers who over the years, we have worked closely with to provide stellar equipment.  Rosco and Apollo gobo leaders are two manufacturers that you will find in our new gobo store.  Here we have their full product lines available for purchase. 

To make things a bit easier for the clients who already know the stock number, above each section is our quick search box.  Customers can put in the stock number and quickly pull up the product and proceed to check out.  Orders are tracked and made available for viewing in our account management area for customers.  Just another way, we are lighting a new way to offer better service to our valued customers.

GOBO STORE

In times of energy conscientious behaviors to reduce carbon footprint we make our own small contributions. We have begun to change over our forms to data forms and easy submission forms for clients. Changing the form two pages to a single page just by reducing font size is meant to reduce consumption. But affording client to submit these forms from their desktop reduces their need to print them out and our need to do the same saving even more.

• Did you know that a single sheet of paper may contain fibers from hundreds of trees from different parts of the globe?
• Did you know that to produce a ton of paper takes up to 4 tons of trees to produce that ton?
• Did you know that on an average a normal employee in the United States uses approximately twenty pounds of papers each year?

The data forms are just another way we can reduce our own paper usage while providing our clients an easier way to do business with us. Angstrom Lighting also uses LED technologies to reduce mercury usage, enhance visible light and reduces waste in our landfills.

Here are a few tips on to help you make your own steps forward.

• Distributing the memos in the mode of electronic mail
• Share the office related documents or internal documents of the office in the mode of emails
• Save book marks the required web pages rather that printing them out
• Reduce the font size on your printed documents to reduce needed pages

Line 204 Events and Angstrom Lighting collaborate to deliver for the FOX hit Series "24". The 24 hour event breaks the Guiness Book world records and brings amazing amount of appreciation for the fans of the show.

Dia De Los Muertos is a coveted for Angstrom Lighting.  The whole team converged at the Hollywood Forever Cemetary. Illuminating grave stones, stages, paths to make for a spectacular event for over 60K people.  This event is a special event as we celebrate the memory of the departed as we commemorate the 11th annual Dia de Los Muertos at your historical Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Not a job to be taken lightly but a job for the professionals at Angstrom Lighting to make it look fantastic.

Angstrom Lighting working in tandem for the first time with Line 204 Event division combine to present a red carpet event at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. AL produced the Rally for Kids gobos in under one day. Which was projected above the red carpet, projected it into the pool and on the hotel for the party.

The DJ booth was elevated over the pool and lit with purple and red tones. The trees surrounding the pool where decorated with up lights. From the lights on the red carpet to the pool party and even on the stage with Eva Longoria, Bill Phillips, Joel and the infamous Gene Simmons was perfectly lighted. 

It is an honor to be part of such a special event to benefit children with cancer. The collaboration between the Angstrom and Line 204 Events was a seemless and cohesive partnership.

Since we began Angstrom Lighting in 1977, we've seen our share of changes, big and small. Well, it's time for another change—a big one—and we couldn't be more excited!

On September 14, 2010, Line 204  officially acquired Angstrom Lighting. We are now part of the Line 204 family.

Founded in 1997, Line 204 is "L.A.'s Ultimate One Stop Shop" for production and event services, studio space and supplies. It's one of the largest production services companies in Los Angeles, with headquarters in Hollywood and additional facilities in Sylmar. Under the vision of founder and president Alton Butler  has developed into a suite of companies providing commercial production and event services throughout Southern California.

Line 204 can now add Angstrom Lighting's sales, rentals, repair, design and education to the wide range of products and services it offers.

Now, if you're one of the many people we've enjoyed doing business with in the past, if you're one of the many wonderful customers who have helped make Angstrom such a success, you may be wondering: What does Line 204's acquisition of Angstrom Lighting mean for you?

It means this: You will continue to receive the same excellent service, expertise and extensive product line you've come to expect from Angstrom. We will continue to sell and rent lighting equipment at competitive prices and rates. We will continue to offer lighting repair services, both in-house and out in the field. We will continue to offer classes for both lighting professionals and people who don't know a thing about lighting. We will continue to add new products to our online store at www.angstromlighting.com/store. And we will continue to provide all of this under the Angstrom Lighting banner.

In other words, all the things you like about Angstrom Lighting will still be here. We're not going anywhere. We're even staying in the same building, at 837 N. Cahuenga Blvd.

So then what will change? Well, we can't give you any specifics at the moment—what we can tell you is this: Things will only get better. With our combined expertise and resources, Line 204 and Angstrom Lighting will be working hard in the next several months to come up with all kinds of ways to make our happy customers even happier. Fifty years ago, the Hollywood Chamber Of Commerce established the world-famous Hollywood Walk Of Fame to honor the stars of the entertainment world that have helped make this city a top tourist destination.

On Sunday, July 25, the Hollywood Chamber celebrated their milestone year with an event called "Walk the Walk", featuring live music, screenings, exhibits and other delights in and around the Ricardo Montalbán Theater in Hollywood.

Angstrom Lighting provided staging and audio for the event, as it does for all of the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremonies.

Sunday was also the day that legendary singer Louis Prima was honored with his Star on the Walk of Fame. His son Louis Prima, Jr. and singer Sarah Spiegel were on hand to celebrate Prima's legacy with a spirited live performance.

We at Angstrom Lighting congratulate the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and we wish them another glorious 50 years and beyond.
